What level of fitness is required to join your walks?

Our tours range in difficulty — from those suitable for the entire family (please check the minimum age requirements listed in each walk’s description) to more physically demanding routes. Every walk includes clear information about its difficulty level and technical details. If you need further clarification, don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

What is the minimum and maximum group size?

Our tours are designed for groups of 4 to 16 people. This allows us to minimize environmental impact while creating a more personal and enriching experience. For larger groups, please contact us — we have flexible solutions. For smaller groups (fewer than 4 participants), a supplement may apply depending on the specific tour.

Are your walks suitable for children?

Each walk has a recommended minimum age, typically between 8 and 12 years, stated in the technical description. However, a child’s familiarity with outdoor activities should also be taken into account by parents when deciding.

What if my family or I can't keep up with the group pace?

At Óbidos Adventures, our goal is to make each walk enjoyable and fulfilling for all participants. Our experienced guides set a comfortable, steady pace with scheduled breaks throughout the tour. Still, we recommend reviewing each walk’s technical description to ensure it matches your fitness level and expectations.

How do you determine the difficulty levels for each walk?

We assign difficulty levels from 2 to 4 (on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the most difficult) based on the following factors:

– Distance and estimated time
– Type of terrain
– Elevation gain
– Sun exposure

What happens if we're late to the meeting point?

Each walk has a carefully planned schedule to ensure participants’ comfort. If you arrive more than 30 minutes late to the meeting point, Óbidos Adventures may cancel your participation without issuing a refund, in order to avoid disrupting the experience for other participants.

Can a walk be canceled due to bad weather? Will we get a refund?

All of our walks take place outdoors and continue even in less-than-perfect weather. However, if conditions pose a risk to safety, the tour may be postponed or canceled. Please see the “Cancellations / Changes” section in our Terms and Conditions for full details.

What if we need to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances?

How do I book a tour, and when is the booking confirmed?

I don’t see a tour that fits my needs. Can you customize one? At what cost?

Absolutely! If none of our existing packages suit your preferences, we’d be happy to design a custom experience. Our tours are modular, making it easy to tailor them to your interests. If you’re looking for something completely unique, we welcome the challenge! Because each custom experience is different, we can’t provide a set price — but we guarantee fair pricing and top-quality planning.

What happens if I or a family member has an accident during a tour?

As a certified company, Óbidos Adventures carries full insurance coverage, as required by Portuguese law. Our insurance is provided by Allianz:
