Óbidos Adventures offers hiking experiences for private groups or open groups, depending on the client’s choice. After purchase, a confirmation email is sent along with a disclaimer (liability terms) that confirms all the details of the participation in the hike on the reserved date.
Purpose
These Terms and Conditions govern all services and activities provided by Óbidos Adventures. All content published on our website or shared through other communication channels (online or offline) is the property of Óbidos Adventures and may not be reproduced or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission.
Modifications
Due to the dynamic nature of our services, the information presented on our website and other communication platforms may change or be removed at any time. Óbidos Adventures reserves the right to update or withdraw content across all platforms, including the “Terms and Conditions” section of the website, at its sole discretion.
Booking
We recommend booking early to secure your spot on your preferred walk or tour. To check availability, please contact us directly.
Booking Confirmation / Payment
You can book and pay for your preferred walk directly from our website. If you would like to talk to us about the walk, or any specific requirements, please contact us through the site or at info@dev.obidosadventures.com. If you’d prefer to use an international transfer platform like Wise or Revolut, or a direct bank transfer, we can provide bank information.
Payment Schedule:
- Full amount due upon reservation.
For international transfers, please ensure all fees are covered on your end so that the full payment (in Euros) reaches us.
Cancellations / Changes
As an outdoor activity provider, Óbidos Adventures is subject to environmental and weather-related conditions. We reserve the right to alter or modify itineraries in situations where safety may be at risk. Examples of such conditions include:
- Torrential rain
- Severe thunderstorms
- High winds
- Landslides
- Falling trees
- Wildfires
- Flooding
- Earthquakes
- Sea storms
- Extreme heat conditions
In such cases, we will attempt to reschedule the tour or offer an alternative if possible. If cancellation becomes unavoidable due to persistent weather/environmental issues or inability to reschedule, we will refund 100% of the paid amount, provided the cancellation is made at least 24 hours before the start of the tour, otherwise the client will be responsible for 25% of the total which will cover logistical and administrative expenses.
If the cancellation is initiated by the customer:
- 100% refund for cancellations made 30+ days before the tour.
- 50% refund for cancellations made 15 to 30 days in advance.
- No refund for cancellations made less than 15 days in advance.
Failure to appear on the scheduled day will result in forfeiture of any payment made. Óbidos Adventures is not responsible for any activities missed and reserves the right to modify the itinerary as deemed necessary.
Group Bookings
When booking on behalf of a group, the designated group leader must sign the agreement and will act as the primary contact for all communications. The group leader accepts the Terms and Conditions on behalf of all members.
Customer Cancellation Rights
Customers may terminate the agreement in the event of a confirmed contractual breach by Óbidos Adventures. In such cases, all previously paid amounts will be fully refunded.
Insurance
All our activities are covered under mandatory Portuguese insurance policies issued by Allianz Insurance.

- Liability Insurance – Policy No. 095/00233252/001
Responsibility
By completing payment, the client acknowledges and agrees to the inherent risks of outdoor activities and accepts all conditions outlined in these Terms and Conditions.
Our guides are highly knowledgeable about the areas we explore, and their instructions must be followed at all times. Reckless behavior can endanger not only the participant but also the guide and fellow walkers and will not be tolerated. Such conduct is also not covered by our insurance.
Customers are responsible for any damage caused to equipment owned or managed by Óbidos Adventures due to misuse and will be required to cover the costs of repair or replacement.
By confirming your booking, you agree to all obligations related to the services contracted with Óbidos Adventures.
Difficulty Levels
All tours are clearly labeled with difficulty ratings and detailed technical information. Please choose a tour appropriate to your fitness level to ensure your own enjoyment and that of others.
Óbidos Adventures is not liable for injuries caused by participation in a tour that does not match your physical capabilities.

Equipment
To make the most of your experience, please review the recommended gear listed in each walk’s description. Choose equipment that is comfortable and suitable for the terrain and weather conditions.
Photography
Óbidos Adventures reserves the right to use photographs taken during tours for promotional and marketing purposes across our communication channels, including our website. Images featuring individuals will not be used if they comprise 15% or more of the photo without explicit permission.
Taxes
All prices are subject to applicable taxes in accordance with Portuguese law. Prices already include 23% VAT.
Complaints
As a certified company, Óbidos Adventures maintains an official Complaints Book at our office. If you wish to file a complaint, please request the Complaints Book during your visit.
